I feel aweful! I haven't posted in over 2 weeks nor have I commented/read any postings.
SORRY!
It has been really busy these past few weeks.
A couple of weeks ago, my side kick at work, Kim, became very ill and admitted into the hospital..I worked double time and was beat.
She is better! I realized while she was out how great she is and such an asset to our office. I had to re-learn all I trained her..weird.
Last week some friends of ours that once lived across the street came to visit, Daniel, Amber and Emma Hamby.
Daniel was the very busy State Trooper for NHC last year. His wife Amber and I became very close while they lived here and Emma (5) and Mallory were BFF's.
It was so sad when they moved and we ALL cried.
Mallory knew that they were coming b/c we had talked about it several weeks ago but she had forgotten...So when Emma walked thru the door, she called out "Mal Mal"!! (she used to call Mallory) and Mallory was in her room. Her eyes lite up and she looked at me and said, "Who was dat"? I, of course, said that I didn't know....She got up and peeped around the corner and saw Emma, took off, and wrapped her little arms around her....It was so precious and brought tears to my eyes.
Mallory talks about Emma at least 3 times a week, especially when we are outside and she can see the house they once lived in.
We had a great time with them Thurs and Friday...they played so well together.
Amber and I were able to sneak away and get our Nails done and catch up.
**
Darleen and I have been practicing a little bit for our Non-Talent show that we were talked into doing for Relay for Life....OMG! This is so crazy!.We will look like idiots Saturday.
She hurt her neck as we were practicing and can't get it straight...just pulled a muscle...I told her NO EXCUSES!
Glad that it will be a pretty weekend.........bye.

Relay for Life

April 24th and 25th @ Chowan College in Murfreesboro Relay for Life will be held.
I have two very special friends that are currently in remission.

Sharon Vinson was dx with breast cancer when her daughter, Katie Lee, was 3 months. Sharon had a total mastectomy and today, 5 years later, is doing great.

Christy Brinkley was dx with colon cancer @ age 25 and again @ age 26. She has had 2 major surgeries and her last report was great.

Both were going thru this at the same exact time. I stayed positive and I thank God they are both here with me today!

Darleen (sister) and I have been asked to be a member of the Relay for Life Team, Cheryls Girls.
In memory of Cheryl Coley.
Well, Darleen and I were asked to do the entertainment for their group.
We have beat our heads on this one...not sure what to do as the talent. We have had lots of suggestions and of course SHOOP was many of the suggestions.
Sharon Vinson has requested that we do Shoop in dedication to her and Christy...Soooo, Saturday morning @ Relay, Darleen and I will be performing Shoop on stage.
Not sure how yet but we will be doing it. The only problem is...Cheryl's Girls have NEVER lost the talent competition and now this is on our shoulders..GREAT!!

Wish us luck.

blogging boo boo's

OK...I have some questions b/c I am very confused about Blogspot.

(mandy has tried helping and I think I have confused her too)

1. Why do I have to sign on everytime I type in my www.bjflythe.blogspot.com
I thought it would automatically take me to it?

2. How can I locate my sister up here? She is blogging but I can't find her?
She tried looking at mine but all she could get to was my About Me page...and there she shows as one of my followers but when I click on her it just shows that she is a follower of me but that's it. No where there for me to open her site!?!?!

Just getting fustrated and need some help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We made it to 10 years baby!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband, Stevie and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary today. We were married in Lasker Baptist Church April 3, 1999 which was Easter weekend.

Our wedding was very simple and that is all we wanted....all we could afford.

We have grown so much since then (both mentally and physically) and I am so blessed to have found him.

July 31, 1997 Stevie's friend called me (home...no cell then) and asked me out. I said No...sorry and he continued to ask....finally Stevie took the phone from him and we chatted for a minute and hung up. A little later Stevie called back and he wanted to let me know that he had nothing to do with his friend calling. Stevie and I knew one another prior to that night b/c he has dated a couple of my friends..He was always so nice but I never thought of him in that way. We chatted again for a bit and I told him that had to walk my best friend to her car b/c she was afraid of the dark....I took his number and called him back later that evening...We talked and talked...we talked for 10 hours that night and we both had to get up and go to work. It was worth it.

The next night we went on our very first date. August 1, 1997 we went to the Watermelon Fest and met some friends there.

I fell head over heels for him. We got along so well and we still do. Stevie and I are happy and I pray that our marriage will continue to stay strong. With God in our lives we will do just that.

This is a picture of us 10 years ago!!

Mallorys Birthday Weekend...

Well as you all know, my now 5 year old daughter, Mallory had a birthday weekend with your ole Mom and Dad. I can't believe she is 5! Mallory Cate Flythe is the sweetest little girl and loves everyone. She sees good in all people and is very smart. When I FINALLY got pregnant I asked God every night to please bless us with a healthy child and if it wasn't too much to ask, a sweet one. My family always said that I would have a mean child b/c I was/am so mean. HA.
She has her moments but she is such a loving little girl. She always tells us how much she loves us. Mallory is such a blessing to Stevie and I and can't imagine a day without her. She starts school in August and realizing that we all will have a difficult time with that. I really need to get her involved in something before school. Does anyone know of a girl scout troop or something around here?
Anyway..................................

We were able to get to Deadwood on Friday night before the terrible storm hit and as we ate that wonderful food..we were able to watch the tornado warnings on the big screen....they were pretty close to us.

We met my boss, Joyce and her husband Keith there and Mallory ate up every bit of attention she could. I could tell she was a little disappointed in the gift...She was looking forward to toys..but Joyce thought she would like a cute little summer/spring outfit. But she was polite and said thank you.

The gift shop had tons of Star Wars figures and ships...so she was able to enjoy ice cream and pick out another gift from us....She decided to get the X Wing...Luke Skywalker's ship for those of you not sure what I am talking about. (i am learning)

Made it to Greenville before the next storm hit and got a nice room and was able to relax...she played and we all hit the sack.

Next morning, we had breakfast at the Cracker Barrell and she enjoyed looking around the gift area there.

Picked Stevie up from the Hilton where he attended a Stores Online.Com seminar. Great idea by the way if you would be interested in selling online.

Mallory finally was able to get to the mall to the Wacker Bear store...She had already decided what she wanted so she went straight to it. She made a bunny in which she named BUNNY.

She helped the girl stuff it and did some little tricks to make the heart beat and placed it inside the bunny. Once you do that, you move on the computer where you enter information so you can recieve a Birth Certificate. It requires your mailing address and stuff, so Stevie and I were putting all of it together and she just thought that was awesome that we were "sharing".

She chose a Snow White dress for BUNNY and two white hair bowes.

The young lady that checked us out was extremely nice and told us about a KIDSFEST coming to Greenville April 25th.

She said it was all FREE and it's where businesses set up booths for advertisement...Each sponser has to have an activity. She said it was really fun for the kids...We are planning to attend so if anyone needs anymore info, just let me know.

Sunday night we had a family b-day party and was able to get a Princess Leia cake.
She was tickled!
Monday while we were all away from home, her swing set was put up at the house. Stevie and I wanted to be home at the same time so we could both see her when she caught site of it in the yard...So I was somehow able to distract her when I drove up and waited for Stevie to get home...Her face was priceless.
We had a busy weekend but it was worth every bit. She will only turn 5 once so we wanted to spend the weekend doing all the things she wanted to do...It was MALLORY WEEKEND...i know, cheesy but hey...to us it is important.

Here are some pics of the weekend.
