My baby will be 5!

I can't believe it..Mallory Cate Flythe will be 5 on Sunday March 29, 2009. For her birthday we will be leaving Friday evening for Williamston to eat at Deadwood..She loves Deadwood. We are meeting my boss and her husband there. Mallory really likes Joyce and Keith and wanted to do this so they were more than willing to meet us there.
From Williamston, we will go to Greenville and stay the night. Stevie has an Online Business seminar Saturday morning in which he will be able to get some ideas and also get a free IPod...cool.
Mallory has asked to go to the Build A Bear workshop in the mall...(another name, not sure)
We plan to just focus on her and let her have a great time.
I can't believe she will be 5! Time for another I guess.

Pain Meds Please

Decided Friday morning I would attempt to finally lay the bricks for a small patio @ my back door...well, all the bricks were put down and I was able to finish up around 4pm with a LITTLE help from Mallory. She was "tired" about the 3rd brick so I told her to just walk on them and that would help....she was able to do that for a bit.
Got the bricks down and not sure really what I was doing but I was told to lay them down as level as possible and go back over them with sand so it could settle in the cracks...well ain't soooo easy people.
Let me tell you, I was already sore when I finished and went on the Ms. Leah's 4th B-day party which was a HIT!! Donielle has 3 amazing little girls..She is a terrific mom and Jimmy is a terrific dad! They did a cool magic show which was very impressive! I can't get my child to leave my side to play for 5 minutes but all 3 of hers entertained everyone!
Thanks for the invite and I hope Leah likes the candy.
*Back to the patio. The next morning needless to say I could barely get out of bed. I tiptoed around the house for awhile...popped a BC body pain and took off the RR to shop for somemore outdoor stuff.
Talked my sister, Darleen, into loading up one of those clay fire pit thingies and left her to do it alone...i was checking out..She was thinking a man would offer to help her so she tugged at it a couple of times until she realized no one was volunteering, so she decided at that point that she was going to pick that thing up alone if she had to die doing it....She got it in the cart and rolled it up to us as if it was not a problem at all. Let me mention, she is ALOT smaller than me so this was really funny. I couldn't even bend to tie my shoes let alone help her pick this thing up, I was going to ask a Lowe's employee.
Anyway, ...yesterday was nothing compared to today. I can't even extend my legs all the way, when I walk I am doing it with my knees slightly bent.
I NEED PAIN MEDS!! I hurt so bad. The sad part about it is...I am not even finished.

In need of Home Makeover...Do I qualify?

Don't get me wrong, I am very blessed and we have a wonderful home and we have made many memories in this home but we are busting at the seams here!
Due to the economy the chance of us selling this is home is zero to none. We tried about a year ago and had NO luck.
It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bath house and we would like to expand our family so we either sell or add on. Not a big fan of Rich Square either...no offense to anyone reading this from Rich Square.
*So, we began updating the house as much as possible and I am stuck.
I have no decorating sense and need help.
We have new carpet, new living room furniture but paint is BLAH and bedroom paint is BLAH.
The yard is pretty big and has great potential but I have no idea what to do other than a vinyl fence to seperate the neighbors yard and ours.
I have pretty bricks for the back yard to have a patio but have no idea how to do that....
Any ideas?!?

Shoop!

I am trying to add my Shoop video...but first, let me explain.
*First of all, I don't get out much these days so when my sister and I were able to break free from husbands and children for a night, we let loose.
On the way to Greenville to meet 10 other ladies for a birthday party we were listening to the MP3 player and Shoop by Salt and Pepper came on...of course we began singing and dancing.
**Realizing that my camera also recorded videos...we set it up on her dashboard and recorded ourselves just for the fun of it...not planning to post it.
The other ladies laughed so hard and talked us into posting it to Facebook and my husband decided to post it on YouTube.
**Darleen doesn't know all of the words. Somehow I do. This song was popular when I was a teenager.
You can notice when she doesn't know the words she starts doing weird dance movements and it trips me out! She is sooooo fun to hang around with and we both fight for attention everywhere we go...... when we are together.
Not sure what I would do without her. We are the youngest of 5 children (i am the baby).
I hate the way I look in this video but I had to post it...Enjoy.

Just to let you all know, my tire was not flat b/c of anything major...There was a nail in my tire so all we needed to do was PLUG IT UP!!

Children's Consignment

My dream is to open a Children's Consignment Shop in this area...Like Ahoskie or Roanoke Rapids...but I am SOOOOOOOOO scared.
I know it can do well b/c that's the highest selling market...Children's Clothes & people today don't buy brand new clothes unless it's a special occasion.
I love to shop, don't get me wrong and I love to buy Mallory sassy little outfits for going out and stuff but not everyday things.
I also love children's consignment stores.
**Instead of actually opening a STORE, I was thinking of having a huge consignment sell right before summer. What I was thinking was renting a huge bldg space and getting others to help with that and have booths or sections and selling clothes that they will no longer need/use.

If anyone of you are like me...Mommies like to buy for their children before them and I think it's an addiction.

I am a follower of Mandy.

Mandy, if you are reading this I have looked at your site/blog and I love it!! I am so jealous and I have lots to learn from you and Donielle.
I really want to know how to post a comment on your blog...HELP.
I love the pics of your precious baby. You remind me of...ME.
We do have lots in common so I can't wait to meet you.
***I loved that you dreamed that you forgot to pick up your friend for the the Blogger Blast....you can tell you are really excited about the get-together b/c it's on your mind!
I have weird dreams like that too.
Funny how your head plays games with you like that.

I have followers...sounds like a colt.

It's not even 7am and I finally get to blog somemore...I sign in and I see 6 followers..WOW! ha ha.
Thanks everyone for feedback and I am so excited to have some new friends! I would really love to meet everyone on the 13th...howeverrrrrrr, I have plans already. Home and Garden party of some sort.

Always heard about blogging, now I am doing it

OK...This is my very first blog, so bare with me.
My name is Billie Jo and I am from NC!! Whoo Hoo.
I am a Physician Practice Asst. for an OB-Gyn office and on most days, I love it. LIke any job, it really tries me and sometimes I feel my blood begin to boil and my ears get hot, but I manage through it. I see lots of weird issues and weird people but I have gotten close to a lot of the them.
I have 4 sisters and 1 brother. My brother is the oldest of 5 and I am the youngest...20 years age difference. I was not planned!
I am my mom, dad, brother and sisters rolled up in one! I carry all of their personalities and traits.
My dad, passed away in January 2006 and it was very sudden. That has been the most difficult situation my family has ever had to deal with....we had never lost anyone before that close.
He was the rock! Since his death so much as happened and probably wouldn't have if he were still here...It took no mess from anyone and it seems alot has fallen apart without him here.

I am a mother of a sweet 4 year old little girl, Mallory, and a wife of a good man, Stevie.
April 3rd will be 10 years since we exchanged wedding vows and became husband and wife.
We did not immediately start trying to conceive until 3 years after being married and then tried for 3 years...Tough times.
Lots of crying and questioning later, we found out about Ms. Mallory...Not a day goes by that God doesn't hear from me...I prayed for a long time that I WAS READY and until I realized that HE wasn't ready for me to have a baby..I began to pray that when HE was ready, I was ready too.
I thank him each and every day for her. She is our blessing!
Today, Mallory is timid and wild all at the same time...Makes no since I know but she seems to be afraid of everything and then not so afraid of anything.
